By accepting these terms, a binding agreement shall arise between you and The Photography Institute ('PI').
By accepting these terms, you agree to pay the course fee ('Course Fee') for the course you have selected under this Student Agreement ('Course'). Upon receipt of the Course Fee, PI agrees to:
1. Supply you with all modules and assignments for your Course ('Course Materials');
2. Allocate a tutor to you at the time of enrolment. This tutor will be your contact and will remain your tutor while you are a student at PI. If your tutor is absent during this time, a substitute tutor will always be available;
3. Mark and grade your assignments;
4. Answer queries about your Course;
5. Issue a Diploma upon successfully completing all assignments.
The Course Fee does not cover any materials that are not listed as Course Materials for your Course. PI notes that you may need to provide your own equipment in addition to the Course Materials at your cost, i.e. Camera. Subject to successful completion of all assignments and the Course Fee being paid in full, PI will issue you a Diploma for your Course.
Course Materials will be available to you as you progress through the Course and submit your assignments. PI reserves the right to withhold provision of Course Materials in the event that you fail to pay any part of the Course Fee as and when it becomes payable. If you are paying by instalments, you must pay all such instalments on or before the due date.
Irrespective of your progress through the Course, if you fail to pay any instalment by the due date, the total outstanding balance of the Course Fee will become immediately due and payable.
No matter what payment option you select to pay your course fees, PI will only charge you the published fees on the website. If you have incurred additional charges, this may be due to your card provider or financial institution charging you additional transactional fees. PI is not liable to reimburse you for these transactional fees.
PI reserves the right to request payment if you are progressing through the course faster than your payment plan. After completing 75% of the course (9 modules), the total outstanding balance of the course fees will become immediately due and payable.
You may examine the first two modules and first assignment with absolutely no obligation for 7 days from your enrolment date. If you decide for any reason whatsoever not to proceed, email the Photography Institute within the 7 day period for a full refund.
If you are unable to continue the course after the 7 day period, you will not be eligible for a refund. If you selected a payment plan upon enrolment, you will remain responsible for all outstanding payments on each due date until the agreed course fees have been paid in full.
The Course is not transferable to another person.
The Course Materials, which PI provides to you, shall become your property. However, the content of the Course Materials, including copyright and all other such intellectual property rights contained therein, remain the property of PI, Online Education Pty. Limited or a nominated third party. You may not reproduce any part of the Course Materials without the prior written consent of PI.
PI does not accept any form of plagiarism. If there is evidence of plagiarism in any of your assignment submissions, PI reserves the right to remove you from the course.
The course can be completed in 24 weeks but you may take up to one year to finish your studies. Extensions beyond this are available if required, although PI reserves the right to charge a fee for extensions.
PI accepts no responsibility in the event of any third party offerings or discounts being revoked by the party involved.
Persons under the age of 16 are not eligible to enrol in this course. Please Contact Us should you require further information.
The Photography Institute is a subsidiary of Online Education Pty. Limited.
The Advanced Modules are only available to be purchased by students who have completed the first two assignments of the PI course successfully.
PI will allow you an extra 6 months to complete the PI course and Advanced Module upon purchase of any Advanced Module.
As each Advanced Module is only one module and one assignment, there are no refunds/swaps on these purchases or payment via instalments.
Subject to successful completion of the advanced assignments, PI will issue you a Certificate of Achievement for completion of any Advanced Module. These certificates will only be available by downloading them from the student site, and there will be no option for them to be sent to you.
